Sharp Varthemia: This Ancient Flower Naturally Treats Diabetes

The Sharp Varthemia which can also be referred to as Chiliadenus iphinoides is a small perennial shrub that belongs to the Varthemia genus. It is an ancient specie of flower that is grown in Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Sinai. Sharp Varthemia flower has various pharmacological properties which includes anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, anti-platelet, and anti-bacterial effects.

Recent reports have shown that researches have been carried out on this ancient flower and those research have proven that this ancient flower naturally treats diabetes with no chemicals or drugs attached. It therefore means that this plant is likely to be a therapy for many patients and so a team is being set aside to work on isolating the active plant ingredient for making a special drug based on it, this could be a patent drug. A study which was led by Dr. Jonathan Gorelick from Judea Research and Development Centre in 2011 shows that the consumption of sharp varthemia flower increased sugar absorption in skeletal muscle and fat cells. The blood sugar levels were also reduced in animals which were exposed to this plant. Increased insulin secretion in beta cells are other anti-diabetic activity found from the sharp varthemia

The sharp Varthemia or Chiliadenus iphionoides plant which only grows in Israel, Jordan and other eastern region was found to be composed of yellow-flowering shrub and has traditionally been used by the nomadic Bedouins tribe to control diabetes-related symptoms.

In a further study, Dr. Jonathan Gorelick and his colleagues mixed sharp Varthemia with rats’ food and the results were amazing; showing similar positive effects on their blood sugar levels and insulin secretion.

During the 25th Judea and Samaria Research Studies Conference at Ariel University when the researchers recently presented their latest findings, Gorelick commented on their results, saying that he has been screening different Israeli plants for diabetes and this is one of the best candidates so far. He also added another statement saying that many medicinal plants, when grown in greenhouses, don’t produce the compounds they do in the wild because those compounds are a defence response to conditions in the wild. In a nutshell, he added that they were trying to emulate those stimulators from the wild in the greenhouse setting.

How can this ancient flower naturally treat diabetes and be beneficial?

As a result of the amazing outcome from the research reported in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, it can only be said that the sharp varthemia appears to be a godsend for those that suffers from diabetes mellitus, which according to the American Diabetes Association says is the seventh leading cause of death in the U.S. today.

This ancient flower which naturally treats diabetes is stocky, furry and has yellow petal flowers in the animal and cellular models which are both extracts of this aroma plant and are anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant, anti-platelet, and anti-bacterial in benefits and improves sugar absorbing in the fat and muscle cells too.

Although this is a great news for many who are diabetic patients seeking sure, the sharp varthemia flower is not found in a local CVS or Walgreens pharmacy, and you likely will never see it around. But we hope with time, it becomes reachable for all who needs it as it will be a great relief to lots of people.
